About Signal Conditioning

Signal conditioning is a process of preparing signals to enable them to be used in a way that optimizes the results in an application. It is the process of manipulating a signal in order to make it easier to accept by an electrical device or system. The signal conditioning consists of processes such as amplification, filtering and converting signals from one form to another. This process typically increases the accuracy and validity of the signal. The goal of signal conditioning is to prepare the signal so that it contains accurate and consistent information whose meaning can be properly understood and interpreted by the system or device consuming the signal.
